#PlanWithMe - Starting My 2023 Planner

A major habit I'm implementing for 2023 is keeping a planner -- ALL YEAR. It's a very hefty goal for someone with ADHD who has never been capable of keeping a planner, but I know it'll be crucial for me in my first year as being a mom of 2 with goals to achieve.

Today, I'm sharing what's in my planner gear and how I'm gearing up for the rest of the year. If you're interested in how I'm doing my layouts for each week, I'll be sharing those on my Instagram & TikTok accounts weekly to help keep me accountable. You can also search under the hashtag #wljplanwithme.

I purchased my planner last month during a sale from Michael's. I really loved the vertical layout planner a friend was using and gravitated towards The Happy Planner's dated vertical layout because of its simplistic design and budget-friendly cost (this was $14).

Keeping it simple, I'm only going to start with 2 sticker packs to help decorate my layouts. I don't want to clutter the space that I know I'll be using daily, but I want enough to create visual appeal and break up any feeling of daunting triggered by packed days. I already have a stash of washi tape that I'll be using for added decor.

For writing utensils, I'll be using 3 different pens alongside a pack of highlighters. My main writing pens will be a Paper Mate Ink Joy gel 0.7 and a Pentel RSVP fine, both in black ink. For headings and special notations, I'll be using a Paper Mate Flair M in black ink. I'm trying out a pack of highlighters I found on Amazon by Shuttle Art: the Mild Highlighter, double-ended in 18 colors. I really wanted a new set of highlighters to work with that also included the color gray and found this to be a really affordable set.

I'll be reevaluating all of my supplies at the 1 month and 6 month marks to get you guys an update review of the supplies and if they're worth the costs. Once those are up, I'll be linking those posts here for you to check out! If you have any suggestions for planner creators or supplies that I should check out, let me know in the comments below.
