2022 Word of Intention

Back in 2019, I decided I was done making resolutions and started choosing a Word of Intention; a single word that is used to become a manta for the year to help keep oneself focused on and end goal or dream. It's really helped me bounce back to help me figure out what my career goals were and figure out how to reverse all the setbacks I encountered from listening to the wrong advice.

Past Words of Intention

In 2020, I chose the word focus, and with the lockdowns of that year I was able to really hone in on that word and regain my focus on what was most important to me. What career path did I want? What did success in that career path look to me? What was I willing to accomplish to achieve this career path? I reflected, brainstormed and narrowed my eyesight to just that year. I didn't this too hard about futures as much as I did the present and the past. At the end of the year, I felt like I had a much clearer idea of what I want.

In 2021, I chose the word progress. I smashed goals, exceeded my expectations, and accomplished more than I expected to. In April and October, I experienced medical issues that decommissioned me for a couple of months each time, yet I still found it in me to get up and keep going on. I'm ended out the year incredibly proud of myself and what I was able to accomplish despite it all.

Growth

Having that small taste of success, I knew it was most fitting that I set my 2022 Word of Intention as growth. I want to grow as a content creator, and I want my channels to grow even more. I have a very unique opportunity available to me to accomplish these goals. There are so many wonderful projects launching this year that I will fight tooth and nail to see launched, and I'm so excited for those moments.

Growth to me means taking current actions to the next level. To help me achieve this, I've already started thinking of what I did and how I can elevate that effort. I'm looking forward to what that will mean for me at the end of the year, but I can only hope that I achieve growth, even in only small ways.

I love that you call it “word of intention.” It is so much more meaningful this way! Mine is to be more present with my daughter and husband.
