Life Lately April 2017

Between random trips, work and trying to set myself on right tracks for the year, it really seems like the last 3 full months have slipped through my fingers quickly. There's so much planning and preparing that I need to do, but I'm taking this month out to reenter myself, because I really think I need it.

This past weekend, I happened upon my very first Rainbow Goblin. He was MAGICAL and adorable and OH MY GOD THE LOOT WE GOT FROM HIM! For those of you who aren't familiar with Diablo 3, there are creatures called Treasure Goblins that you can kill in dungeons and get stuff for your character or lots of gold. When the stars align perfectly in your favor on the most perfect on times, an adorable goblin will come and take you to a most MAGICAL of places. I was crazy giggling the entire time we were in here because you battle unicorns, teddy bears and flowers and it's just a weird, adorable blood bath the whole time.

I've also been trying to up my food game. I bought a 2-pack of smoked salmon from Costco a few days ago and have been chowing down on some avocado-salmon toast and sushi rolls. This past week has been a learning curve. Like how I learned that you can, indeed, have too many different types of peppery tastes and have it be a bad thing. Note to self: add salt sometimes because it's necessary. I'm all for pepper, but having all those ingredients without a natural acidic was a bad idea.

I've got this beautiful garden happening on front yard as a result of nature just doing it's own thing. Unfortunately, they're all falling over for some reason, so I need to go through and cut all the flowers off and put them in a vase this afternoon. They remind me SO much of my childhood. The first rental house we lived in when I was little had these in the front yard and I remember them so fondly for some reason. I often wonder what 7 year old me actually thought of them.

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has been going pretty well. I've lost my stride with the game as of late, but I managed to get the first Spiritual Stone in the game (outside of what the Deku Tree gives you). I'll probably dive back in later this week, but I think I need a break from it for now. My biggest issue with the game is that every time I exist, I end up back in my house. That's unrealistic and very inefficient. But I'll get over it eventually.

What have you guys been up to lately? And special projects or games you've been powering through? Let me know!

I love Ocarina of Time. I don't know how many times I've started this game and still have never finished it. I played it first on the N64 and then I finally got it for my 3DS, I'll play it and then stop and then pick it up again. Love the game.

All of your food photos look so delicious! I love sushi, salmon and avocado. I had poached eggs and avocado on biscuits and now I'm craving that every morning.
    XD

I have a feeling that's how I'll end up playing this game, too. Luckily for me, there's tons of strat guides online to help me along the way!

Poached eggs and avocado on biscuits?! I never even thought of that! Made biscuits from scratch a month or so ago and have been wanting to do it again. Now I have extra reasons to try! Thanks for the idea!

Oh yes, I've had to look up things here and there whenever I get lost.
Have you played Monster Hunter, what do you think about the Monster Hunter Stories coming out in the fall?

And it was delicious! :9 Homemade biscuits, yum! I'm not a baker/chef. But I want to learn a few things here and there.
