Cut-offs Summer

Did anyone else have a parent that refers to shirts as "cut-offs" or was that just me?

Summer swept it's high heat temperatures over the Central Valley and I'm doing everything I can to stay cool, including upcycling our old shirts! I've been praying Mike for months to slim down his closet and now I'm glad he hasn't been listening. He has tons of old shirts that are falling apart that make for great upcycles and housework wares.

Like this old star wars tee I picked up this morning. This shirt has been absolutely eaten up over time. There were holes all over it and the sleeves were doing away from the seems

So I did something I have actual never try us in my life: I cut the sleeves off. And when I tell you it hit different, trust the truth. I was feeling myself all day in this outfit! 10/10 will be tornadoing out tee stash with a pair of scissors in hand.
