A Birthday Brunch at Wine & Roses

This past weekend, we celebrated my mom's 70th birthday at wine and Roses to enjoy their brunch menu. The weather was perfect for sitting outside, and miles did amazing for his first time back in a restaurant in over a year. The other great thing about sitting outside with a toddler is that there's a little bit more freedom to get up and walk away when sitting in one spot gets to be too much. Mike was able to take him around to see the birds in the cages and all the flowers that they had decorating the grounds.

The best part is that the only thing my mom wanted for birthday was to be able to go out and enjoy a nice meal with her family. It's so interesting how we have gotten more simple with our hopes for our birthdays and celebrations. We're all fully vaccinated, and I'm so happy that we were able to give her the one thing she truly wanted!

We went into brunch at Wine & Roses in Lodi, CA pretty blindly as their menu isn't available on their website. But we all seem to find something that we enjoyed eating that was a different take on traditional American breakfasts. Miles loved eating his scrambled eggs and watching all the people going about their day. My mom loved her salmon dish. And I thoroughly enjoyed my soufflé pancake! We overall enjoyed the experience eating out together for the first time in a long time!
