Mini Recipe Binder (With Free Printable)
For years I've had a mini binder packed with recipes I've collected over the years. As the years have gone, I've perfected my mini recipe binder in a way that I believe can stay preserved for many years (and maybe even generations) to come.
I love using mini (5.5" x 8.5") binders for recipe book because they don't take up a lot of space on the shelf, and as someone who lives in an older home with minimal counter space, smaller storage is crucial. It also helps with saving paper since it's using half sheets. I've started using sheet protectors to help the pages last longer, something I've learned over the years of dropping ingredients!
What You Need
What You Need to Do
Print out your pages with 0 margins (or as Fit to Page) and cut directly in half (5.5" mark if using a paper slicer). Write down your recipes and place into sheet protectors. If you'd like, you can print photos of your recipes and place them on the back side of the recipe.
To divide the sections, you could print the categories on cardstock and use adhesive tabs to help define each section. Be sure to offset them as you do each section so you can easy see them.
I can't wait to fill this recipe binder up with family recipes from our moms, and recipes I make and discover on my own! Would you like an easy start? Download the zip file below for PDFs of all the pages I use for my recipe book, which includes the recipe page and the categories I used for my own book!
These binders also make for fantastic gifts during the holidays. Welcome a new family member into the group with a copy of all the family secrets. Encourage that special cook in your life to hone in their craft, too! The possibilities are endless!
