We Bought a House!
After years of saving and a series of fortunate events, we bought our first family home here in our little town of Lodi!
Our 1960s home has been a bit of a project, but I wouldn't necessarily dub it a "fixer upper". The house had been previously used as a rental property and wasn't loved as properly as it should have been. We've been spending the last almost 2 months cleaning, painting, and patching, in addition to overhauling the full bath. I can say with confidence that buying an older home is not for the faint of heart.
We got lucky with our home. The dirty rooms, a couple of damaged posts and a molded-over bathroom were all that was wrong with it. All of the inspectors continuously told us how lucky we were with this house. Many of the homes in our area in our price range were work. Like, work work. We were also in a prime neighborhood for our area.
I can't wait to share more of our home as these next few weeks go and finishing up the rooms goes quicker and quicker! So, in the meantime, please excuse my silence on here and social media as fixing up a home and taking care of a 1 year old is stretching me to my max!
