Pumpkin Patch Adventures

This week, Miles got to experience his first pumpkin patch! This whole experience had a completely different plan, but most plans change with babies!

Originally, Mike and I had planned to take Miles to the Elk Grove Giant Pumpkin Festival held every year during the first weekend of October. Neither of us had ever been, but we knew there was a small patch for us to shoot some photos for his 7th month shoot and purchase pumpkins and figured it would be perfect for us. We had agreed that we would wait until next year to really go ham with October festivities since Miles would be a little bit older and be able to enjoy things more than he can now. 

My parents really wanted to be able to take him to one, so we hit up Philips Farms here in Lodi for some lunch and a quick walk around their mini patch. Philips Farms has been taken over by Michael David winery in the last several years, but has actively tried to keep and expand their pumpkin patch for the locals. It's small, but Miles is a small guy and it was perfect for him and my parents!

Mike and I can't wait to carve pumpkins, watch spoopy movies, and feed Miles all the pumpkin purees this weekend with him!
