New Arena, Who Dis?
Last Tuesday, Mike and I had the wonderful opportunity of going to the last game for the Sacramento Kings season at their new arena, the Golden 1 Center! If you remember, we got to go last year to one of the final games they had at Arco Arena before they made the move to Mid-Town Sac. And I will be real honest with you guys: the best part about going to any of these games is ALL THE FREE FOOD. Since our companies have season tickets and a suite, it comes with a few perks that help me sit through a sporting event I'm not very invested in (mainly because I prefer hockey).
We started our evening getting lost and a wonderful table providing free champagne to the guests. Once we figured out where our starting seats were (2 row, floor for the first half), we made our way to the Lexus Lounge where they were serving all of their guests chow mein, fried rice, and SUSHI. Ya'll, I got free tuna rolls and shrimp nigri. You better believe I hit it with a reckless abandon. Although, I will say that trying to eat sushi and nigri while standing from tiny little plates is very difficult. I had to put my pride aside and just go ham with my fingers. There was 0 shame in my game that night. We spent the second half of our evening with his boss and kids in the suite, noshing on sausages, chips & salsa, and garlic fries. The view from the suite was perfect! Despite my fear of heights, I really enjoyed getting close to the glass edge (that was way too low in my opinion).
And thanks to the free "SIXTH MAN" shirts they gave out that night, I finally have a purple sports shirt to wear if we get lucky again next season and get to attend another game!
