Looted: February 2017 Loot Crate Unboxing
It is only fitting that the last Loot Crate I unbox is the February 2017 Build themed box. As of a few months ago, I had decided to swap out my monthly subscription to Loot Crate and Loot Crate gaming for the Loot Crate Wizarding World alternate-monthly box. Though I have LOVED the boxes I have received in the past, my home was quickly filling with items from fandoms I didn't enjoy as much as others. However, I'm so excited that I decided this last one that I would purchased involved a fandom I have held near and dear to my heart: Power Rangers! *swoons*
This months Crate gave us some really great goodies. I can't wait until lunch time today so I can enjoy the pasta I stored in my LEGO Batman food container. Sure, it's pretty small, but it's perfect to hold a simple meal. The magazine in this Crate actually includes a recipe for a delicious parfait (yogurt with toppings)! It's big enough for me to hold a soup, pasta, or rice with meal meal, while being small enough to fit in my lunch bag with my breakfast and sides! Pulling my lunch out of my fridge this morning was made even more enjoyable seeing all my little Tetris magnets scattered and stacked about my fridge door. The magnets ended up being stronger than I expected; a lot of times, novelty magnets can end up with a pretty weak hold and I have to double up magnets for a sheet of paper.
You can bet that I'll be rocking my Power Rangers Megazord blueprints tee with my Megazord pin and my Power Rangers track jacket all the way to my local theater to see the movie later this month! This shirt meant everything to me when I pulled it out of the box and realized what it was! Everyone remembers the first superhero they discovered and love them their whole lives because they were the first. For me, that will always and forever be the Power Rangers. I was super excited when I learned that this month's bonus loot included codes to get the first issue of the comic book series on Comixology! Can't wait to dive into it!
Lastly, we have a LEGO Dimensions figurine and mount that works with the game. Unfortunately, I haven't purchased it yet, but I'm hoping to soon! In the meantime, I'm going to be really proud of the fact that I was able to build the mount WITHOUT INSTRUCTIONS (because they're not in the booklet, have to learn in-game to build it) based solely off the angled photo on the box. I felt like a damn baller getting that done, you guys! What's also neat is that the LEGO Dimensions characters you got in your box were randomized! I've very happy I got the little astronaut guy! He's adorable!
What LEGO Dimensions character did you get in your box? Will you be seeing the Power Rangers movie when it releases on March 24? Let me know in the comments down below!
