Ramen & Escape Rooms in Sacramento
Yesterday, the team I work with during my 8-5 had our year-end team building EXTRAVAGANZA up in Sacramento, and it was so much fun! I had planned with my boss doing an escape room after I had such a wonderful experience doing one during my bachelorette weekend. We then got the idea of checking out one of Sacramento's ramen houses after one of our team members suggested it in a meeting.
We all met up at Ryujin Ramen restaurant off of S and 19th in Sacramento and had our fill of edamame, gyoza, ramen, katsu and tea. There were a few of us in the group that had never had real ramen before. My only other experience with the dish was at a restaurant years ago at the Westfield San Francisco Centre. It was nice for us to get our soup on while the weather was chilly and wet!
After lunch, we headed to Escape Sacramento to compete 5 on 4 in two different rooms themed The Seance! I'm happy to announce that my team won, made up of me, 3 of my coworkers and our boss' son with 25 SECONDS LEFT! It was nuts! We didn't even realize that we had completed the room until the guy came in and congratulated us, ha ha!
If you've never done an escape room before, I highly recommend it. For around $20-$30 per person, you and your group of coworkers, friends or family can go in and have a unique experience of playing real life Clue. If you're in the Sacramento area, I highly recommend the Escape Sacramento location.
Have you done an escape room? If not, what theme would you love to do for your first room?
