My Madame Puddifoot-Inspired High Tea Bridal Shower

I can't believe I never posted my bridal shower photos! I guess with the hustle and bustle of everything it just completely slipped my mind. Well, better late than never, right?

My bridal party, moms and aunt helped me put on my Madame Puddifoot-themed high tea bridal shower so wonderfully! For those of you not familiar, Madame Puddifoot is the popular tea shoppe in the Harry Potter series where many of the ladies love to be taken on dates during Hogsmeade weekends.

Tea cups double as party favors for the guests, ranging from vintage to antique finds at thrift store trips my mom and I took throughout the upcoming months of the event. Each guest's names were on a name tag I made and were tied with twine to the handles. It was far more difficult than expected for us to find vintage plates that would be usable for my guests to eat on. Luckily, my mom was able to find ornate-shaped disposable plates to use instead.

For the food displays, I took salad and dinner plates I found at thrift stores and used E6000 to glue them to candlestick holders. I tried to theme the displays as much as possible so they could be reused in the future for other parties. This later came in handy for my wedding, as I later found out that my mom used the ones that were mainly white and blue themed to display the cupcakes on! We also thrifted the sugar and creamer pot sets to have at each table, as well as teapots that were mainly used for decor. The hotel that my shower was held at provided us drink dispensers for the hot water, coffee and sangria.

One of my bridemaids made this wonderful "From Muggle to Mrs." banner, which perfectly covered a very ugly picture in the room that we couldn't take down. I also purchased 2 large balloons to float on the sides of the head table. I used this Pinterest tutorial to create a simple tassel rope using embroidery thread and bakers twine at the last minute in coordinating shades of green.

And the finishing touch to my magical bridal shower: my awesome Snapchat filter! I used some of the graphics used on the invites my MOH got combined with teacup graphics I found for the design. It was such a hit with my Snapchat guests! It also made for some great photos to keep in my scrapbook!

I'm so incredibly grateful for all my friends and family who helped with the setup, food assembly, and tear down. Without them, I don't think that day would have been quite as magical.

I found this cat tea pot at my local Goodwill and lost my mind. How Umbridge is this teapot, am I right?! It's now a prized possession at our house and Mike hates it, haha!
