"You're not tired, you're uninspired."
"Don't work 8 hours for a company and then go home and not work on your own goals. You're not tired, you're uninspired."
It's a true quote. One that plays over in my mind every time I want to create something and I don't. It's liken to writer's block. I got hit hard with an overwhelming list of things to do, and by the time that list was worked through I had lost all motivation to create anything up to the point of not being creative at work.
But how do you draw yourself out of a slump and move back on your path? The only route I've found that works for me is one moment of getting really pissed off or just being fed up with living a mundane life of ordinary routines. I had both hit me in the same day. And later that night, I fixed half the issues I was having with the wedding, started a quick-craft hobby, and prepped my day for blogging.
Another road block that I frequently run into is the fact that I live with untreated ADHD, and though it isn't an excuse it is a hurdle I jump everyday. Some days are worse than others, but that's why I've started working on smaller daily goals. Colorful lists and summarized goals with bullets help.
I'm coming back to the internet and I hope you come back for the ride as well.
