Geek Chic: The Geeky Cauldron Haul

About a week ago, I jumped onto The Geeky Cauldron during a sale they were having and managed to snag these pretties before they flew off the shelf! I can't tell you how happy I am with them and the quality of the pieces. I'm not going to lie, I was a little worried about how they were going to feel in my hand when they showed up, but I'm really impressed! These pieces are so adorable and I can't wait to put them on. Just having the Time Turner in my hands made me feel a little closer to Hermione than ever before!

If for some crazy reason you're not a big Harry Potter fan and have no idea what these are, I'll give you a quick break down. The first piece is Rowena Ravenclaw's diadem, which is a type of head piece. Ravenclaw is the name of one of the houses in Hogwarts. A house in Hogwarts is the group of students your sorted with, mainly based off personality traits you possess. Here are some examples of what the original looked like. The second piece is a silhouette of the Hogwarts castle and it says "Hogwarts is my HOME," because it will always be home to me. The last piece had to be taken in two shots to really show it off. It's a replica of Hermione's Time Turner from the movies that she used to turn back time and save Harry's godfather from doom.
