Happy birthday, Mom!

This past weekend, Mike and I joined my parents in Old Sacramento for lunch and shopping to celebrate my mom's birthday! We enjoyed a few appetizers and drinks on the Delta King, had a late lunch at Rio City Cafe, and walked around checking out the shops until the earlier summer heat wave got to be too much for us to handle. I hadn't had a chance to spend time with my parents in the last few weeks due to my Disneyland trip and getting sick when I got home, so it was nice to go out with them for a day. All that shopping and the only things we came home with was a greeting card from Evangeline's and olive oil and balsamic vinegars from The Chef's Olive Mix. I EXTREMELY recommend bringing home some of the Tuscan Herb Infused Olive Oil. I've used it twice now, once for cooking chicken and once to drizzle a little bit on my pizza crust before popping it into the oven and my kitchen smelt AMAZING.
