Geek chic: Bur!
Did you know that the Disney movie Bambi originally debuted in 1942? I've talked to a dozen people over my shock on this and no one else seems to be able to grasp that this timeless classic was released over 70 years ago. Normally, I wear this ensamble with a different top and shorts to boot, but decided I'd try to switch it up a bit. Since I can't wear shorts to my day job, I had to comb through the dozens of pieces I had in my closet until I came across this Old Navy skirt I purchased years ago and haven't really found a use for it in over a year. I'm pretty sure I was steeling myself to put it in the sale pile as it was. Didn't even realized that it perfectly coordinated in color with my booties! One of these weekends I'll do a remixed post of how I normally wear this outfit. The times I've done it in the past always found me in dimly lit homes and photos never came out right.
Speaking of photos not coming out right, let it be a lesson to you all that you should ALWAYS check to make sure your skirt isn't sticking to your tights after walking a distance. I did not do this. Also, don't be upset when your hair decides it's going to do whatever the F it feels like doing that day. You win some, you lose some. For me, it's more like I lose a lot. Oh well.
