NaNoWriMo 2012 - And So It Begins

That's right kids, it's that time of year again! For those of you not in the know, NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writer's Month) stretches from November 1st thru November 30th and is all things awesome. For 30 days, crazy people around the world will be scrambling to write 50,000 words of win. I attempted this years ago and fail about 10,000 words in. This year, I'm more determined than ever to complete this event!

Last night, I met up with the Stockton crew at Empresso Coffeehouse for an intense initial writing session and to plan our weekly meet-ups for the month. Getting to sit down with these wonderful writers and hammer out some word counts was awesome. You know, until the extension cord wouldn't keep my laptop's plug in and my laptop die when I was finally in the groove of things.

I'm not writing anything terribly exciting this year, just finishing up a Harry Potter fanfic story I started back in 2007 that's been constantly in the back of my mind, egging me on to finish it (and now you know the true extent of my nerdiness). I'll probably end up posting the story's link here later for your amusement. I wouldn't be nerdy without a fanfic story link somewhere on my blog. Is it wrong that I already have my story idea for next year? Because I do, and it shall be brilliant. It's also not a fanfic story, so that's a plus.
