Life in an Instant: I Nerd Out
Is it really Monday already?! I meant to post this yesterday. Clearly, that did not happen. I haven't had time for anything productive really. I had the chance to spend time with Hilda and Janine quite a bit over the weekend. It's nice when you can set even just a couple of hours to regroup with those closest to you. With me working days, Hilda working nights, and Janine in only for the summer, you can just imagine how difficult it gets just trying to catch up on the daily in's and out's, let alone catching up on the deeper aspects of life. Yesterday was the first time in over a month the three of us were able to enjoy each other's company at the same time. We made it a point to do Taco Tuesday at El Torito's tomorrow night for margaritas and tacos before I head out on my week long journey through nerdhood.
The boys and I gathered around The Abbey to celebrate John's birthday last Thursday. Buddy entertained us with magic card tricks while we all enjoyed the new Sausage Sampler they added to the menu. One would think with the way I keep congregating friends for get-togethers, I was moving to San Diego rather than just going for a week-long vacation! I'm silly.
I'll be posting pictures to my Instagram feed and blogging as much as I can while I'm at the event. I'm not sure how crazy our schedule is and how much relaxing time we'll actually get, but I'll at least gather everything up to post when I get back. One of our nights ends at 9:30pm at the convention! IT'S RIDICULOUS HOW MUCH THERE IS TO DO THERE!
I'm currently about 80% of the way packed. I missing a few items from my suitcase, but they need to be left out until tomorrow night. Poor Fish will be all by his lonesome in the apartment!
Is there something in particular you would like to see at Comic-Con posted on my feed? Let me know and I'll try to get a picture for you to fangirl over. I make no guarantees other than I will try.
Until next time...
what a lovely post 🙂
