Going the Distance: The Travel Plan

travelplanmap2

When it comes to domestic travel, my history is fairly underwhelming. I've got California down. Been to around 20+ cities within my own state in my lifetime alone with intentions to visit more in the next 20 years of my life. However, I've realized recently that my country-wide travels have been very limited.

I want to travel. I want to see and experience cities and states within my own country that I haven't yet. Cities that I've enjoyed seeing in the photos and videos of those that I follow online. And, luckily for me, I've got friends and family that have the travel bugs in them, too!

I want to see Dollywood and the beautiful cabins in Gatlinburg. I want to experience the holidays in New York City and shop in Brooklyn. I want to check out a gaming convention in Austin. I want to see if the Windy City really does have a lot of wind.

So, this is my travel plan: to save up and try to hit 2 new cities a year. Will it happen? That definitely remains to be seen, but you can bet that I'm going to try really hard to get in at least one city a year.

If you live in any of these cities or have been to any of them, let me know in the comments below what I should check out, whether it's food or an experience or museum, whatever. I want to make sure I hit up all the good spots!
