5 Fandom Friday: Crossovers that would cause my heart to explode

Man, you guys, this week's prompt for Crossovers The Would Cause My Heart to Explode was tough. I had to admit defeat because I really just couldn't think of anything outside of what I chose. I'm really not into the idea of crossovers, unfortunately. I like my food on my plate like I like my fandoms in my heart: gotta keep 'em separated. And yes, I did sing that last part. So, I stopped at three. I think this is a solid selection, though. Especially for someone who's not into this kind of thing. The first and third pieces were inspired by fanart and/or fanfiction that I've seen in the past on Tumblr in passing while looking up other things about the fandom. What crossovers have you been dreaming about? If you did the challenge, be sure to link your blog down below so I can check out what you're dreamin' up!

Hermione meets and travels with The Doctor

The idea of the Doctor having such an intellectual companion excites me. While I don't think Hermione would have stayed with the Doctor for very long, I think it would have been a great vacation break from the violence and fighting for them both. I imagine it happening after the loss of Donna or the Ponds and the Second War. The Doctor happens to run into Hermione doing magic and offers her a "I'll show you my tricks if you show me yours" type deal (non-sexual). She shows him the different things she can do with magic on their adventures, while he takes her across the universe and back, just to look and appreciate. He brings her back eventually because they both know its really not a good idea to mix time travel with magic and it's ok. They knew their time together would be short. In the end, that's what makes it special.

Bones on New Girl

I want this in the comedic sense, not the dramatic sense. It's been said by the Deschanel sisters before that they're trying to get Emily on New Girl as a cousin, but how neat would it be if they had her on as Bones with the team and everything was just funny all the time. I was thinking about this last night as a rewatched a few of my favorite New Girl episodes last night. I guess I just really want them on the screen at the same time being funny since we already got them being serious. Damnit Fox, make our dreams come true already! *cries*

Avatar: the Last Airbender, only they are in our world

Every since I read The AU by Irrel on deviantart.com years ago, it's all I ever wanted. Just imagine the very base of the storyline from Avatar: the Last Airbender and all the major character traits and events, only as it was in real life. Irrel does such an amazing job of transitioning everything over and does so in comic book form. I adored this series. Whenever I think about Avatar now, I can't help but think of it in this form as well. If you're a major fan of the series and love seeing when fantasy fandoms get placed in to real life settings, you will adore this as well.

If feel like she would have made a great temporary companion and given him someone on his level intellectually.

I thought it was hilarious when Zoey showed up on Bones! She wasn't Jessica but it was still funny in its own way.

Hermione would be a fantabulous companion, I can't believe it never occurred to me before. There's so much room for witty/snarky banter, they'd be the perfect partnership. 🙂

I know, right?! Had I not happened upon that story by accident, I don't I would have ever given the pairing a thought.
