Day Two (Thursday) at California Adventure and we wasted no time... sleeping most of the day away! Hah! We didn't actually get to DCA until sometime well after lunch, where we met up with Brandon and Linsey again while the fam-bam tore it up at the Disneyland Hotel's pool area. But not before getting a quick cold snack first! We got so lucky because a staff member at the Monster's Inc. entrance hooked us up with Fast Passes, so we ended up getting on and off the ride while they were still waiting in line! We parted ways for the first time that day to get on the Cars ride while they went to use up a set of their Fast Passes. I love this ride and was sad when an annoying child and her neglectful mother ended up dampening it for us. Oh well. You win some, you lose some.

We got back together after the ride so Brandon and Michael could jump on California Screamin'. I managed to even get a shot of them right before their ride took off! I'm always weirdly excited when I can get shots of people while their on rides. We stopped for a quick dinner and parted ways again while they left to watch World of Color and I forced Michael to take me on the Little Mermaid ride. No regrets. That shit was ridiculously awesome. Ariel's movement made me feel like this is what life would be like if cartoons existed in our world like they did in Who Framed Roger Rabbit. We ended our chill day at the park with drinks and music in the Mad Tea Party area, where this super legit band was dressed up like an Alice in Wonderland meets 70s rock and roll band. No joke, they were pretty amazing! Good job, Disney, for finding these talented performers. Hold on to every single one of them as long as you can.

And also your bartenders. And the colorful ice cubes.

After that, we just headed back to the hotel to try and go to bed as quickly as we could for a 6a wake-up call because the next day was the 24-hour event. Though the day was really uneventful, I'm really glad we chilled out because we needed it to prepare ourselves for the next day.

Thank you! That one really came together better than I thought it would. I wish I could wear shorts to work so I can rock them all the time!
